About Us
Malta Charters is one of the largest private sailing
yacht charter
company in the Mediterranean which owns all its yachts.
Malta Charters was established in 2006 by the owner,
Jonathan Gambin.
As he pursued his vision to tap into the growing
niche of yacht chartering in Malta, the company's
operation and its fleet continued to grow, and Malta
Charters quickly established itself as the main provider
of yacht chartering services on the Maltese Islands.
With a staff complement of more than 10 and a base at Kalkara
Marina, situated in one of the most beautiful spots
inside Valletta's Grand Harbour, Malta Charters today
fully owns and operates 25 modern and desirable yachts
which range between 34 feet and 56 feet.
We offer skippered charters and cater for the
growing demand for bareboat chartering.
Malta's excellent flight connections with the major
European cities allow us to offer bareboat and skippered
charters to a clientele that is increasingly interested
in pursuing sailing in the Maltese Islands.
Our long sailing season, lasting from May to October,
makes Malta an excellent getaway destination for
cruising sailors in Europe and beyond. Our proximity to
Sicily also gives us the flexibility to service the
south and east coast of Sicily, and even the Aeolian
Islands.
With its increased staff complement, our charter base
strives to offer an excellent service to clients who
choose Malta as their cruising destination. We are
sea-fairing people who love what we do. Our young and
professional staff takes pride in providing individual
attention to each and every client visiting our base.
The same can be said of our dedicated skippers who pride
themselves in offering a professional service.
Besides making sure that visitors get a pleasant
cruising experience on board our yachts, we are happy to
provide practical tips on virtually everything: from the
best anchorage spots and beaches to the closest shops
where to get food supplies.
We are more than happy to inform clients on where they
can get fresh warm bread in the morning, where to find a
traditional barber shop and, of course, a good
restaurant with a view.
We take pride in offering personalised contact to
clients, and we are more than happy to answer any
questions on sailing in the Maltese islands.
